What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by websites you visit. They are widely used to make websites work, or work more efficiently, and to provide information to the owners of the site.
How we use cookies
We currently restrict cookies that require explicit consent: we don’t use cookies for marketing or advertising.
However, to support site functionality (especially multilingual support) and analytics, we use the following:

Note: Because WPML’s cookie is required for the multilingual functionality, it is considered strictly necessary / functional and does not require separate consent.
Details on the WPML language cookie
- Cookie name (example): wp-wpml_current_language
- Purpose: To remember which language (e.g. English, French, etc.) you have selected, so the site remains consistent in that language through your browsing session and future visits.
- Type: Functional / strictly necessary
- Duration: Usually session or up to 1 day (depending on your server / plugin settings)
- Does it collect personal data? No — it only stores language preference, not personally identifiable information.
Analytics & site usage
We use Statify, a privacy-friendly analytics tool (GDPR/DSGVO-compliant) which does not store personal data or use tracking cookies. It simply counts visits anonymously and does not create user profiles.
Embedded / third-party content
Some pages include embedded YouTube videos. When you play an embedded YouTube video, YouTube and its parent company may set cookies or collect data. Please refer to YouTube’s privacy policy for details.
Managing cookies / opting out
You can manage or disable cookies in your browser settings. However:
- To block or delete cookies, you may follow instructions for your specific browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, etc.).
- If you disable or refuse strictly necessary / functional cookies (e.g. WPML language cookie), some site features — especially multilingual display — may not work properly.
- Blocking Statify’s analytics cookies will not affect functionality — it just disables visit counting.
